Is it not great when a smartphone worth a thousand bucks refuses to charge?

Long story short is that a large number of newly sold iPhone Xs units refuse to charge. Upon plugging the charger, new iPhone can freeze, ignore the charger, charge for a few minutes and then stop or charge only after you wake the phone up from screensaving. Right now it is unknown whether the issue is hardware or software. The exact number of phones affected is also unknown, but seeing how many people complain about the problem online, it is considerable. Even exchanging your phone for a new one at Apple store does not guarantee that the new device will be working properly. At least wireless charging seems to be working as intended.

Apple has yet to officially comment on the issue. Heh… I wonder what will Apple fans say about this. Probably something along the lines of ”but Samsung phones exploded!” Personally I think that selling defective smartphones that cost a thousand dollars or more is a travesty that should not be forgiven nor forgotten easily.

Here is a video of one Unbox Therapy taking a look at the issue.
