Dual cameras are nothing new in smartphones, and the three cameras setup is slowly creeping into the mainstream a la Huawei P20 Pro. Three cameras are nothing, though; what will you say about nine of them? Well, Light company has clearly said ”fine, lets do it”. The nine cameras smartphone project is currently under development by Light and funded by Foxconn. According to The Washington Post, Light has already created a working prototype. It is reportedly able to create 64mpx pictures, work extremely well in low light environment and create a wonderful depth of field. Light also maintains that its smartphone has great optical zoom capabilities.

Save for this positive advertisement by the producer, we know nothing about the Light 9. Lets just hope that its price will not be as pain inflicting as Light 16’s (16 cameras camera!) was – 1950 dollars.
