LG has announced that its upcoming LG G7 phone will not be called that. Change of brand name is supposed to help the series gain more popularity. How exacly will this work is anyone’s guess – ask someone with a degree in marketing. As for a new name, no one knows what will it be. There are rumours stating that the LG will use numbers instead of letters in the series’ new name, naming it, for example, LG 69, but that is in no way confirmed.

Re-name is said to take place during the first half of 2018.
