Galaxy Note 8 receives its October security update
We have had to wait until almost the end of October, but they are finally here; Galaxy Note 8’s latest security update is rolling out in China right now. While there is no official global release date, it will happen eventually. This update brings with it 215 vulnerability fixes for Android OS as well as Samsung software. Sony Xperia XZ Premium gets Android 8.0 Oreo update
Some phones have to wait for the update (my last post on HTC U11), while some are getting it here and now. Starting today, October 23th, an OS upgrade is rolling out for every Xperia XZ Premium, updating the phone’s operating system to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. HTC U11 may soon be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo
That is what @LlabTooFeR, one of the more well-known smartphone leaksters, claims. He believes that the update is reaching last stages of development as we speak, and should roll out by the end of November/early December. Upgrade to Oreo would be a huge deal, since U11 has been running on 7.1 Nougat since day 1.
