First problems with Android Oreo

First problems with Android Oreo

Heh, I guess I have something to write about here… Android 8.0 Oreo is a long-awaited, Android OS, older or newer, are the main software of the majority of worldwide smartphones and mobiles devices. It means that Android has lots of responsibility on its hands, as the company always has to do its best to turn out pristine, bug-free operating systems to millions of customers worldwide…

Haha, no. Android Oreo is out for just a few days now, and the OS’ first users – the owners of Google Pixel phone – are already complaining about its many shortcomings. The most serious of problems listed are constantly losing Bluetooth connection, broken sound after plugging in headphones/loudspeakers and faulty behaviour of Android Auto. At least Google is not losing its head, as the company stays calm and asks users to write as detailed bug reports as possible.

I must admit, this news pisses me off a bit. I am tired of a muff of a work that today’s software engineers, probably forced to haste by stupid executives, churn out. The ”lets release it now and then patch five to ten times until it works as intended” mentality, known well to video gamers, seem to be doing well in the mobile business as well. For shame.
