According to Phone Arena, BlackBerry is in talks with various smartphone manufacturers worldwide to provide them with its own version of Android OS. BB’s Android’s codename is BlackBerry Secure, and it is supposed to be equipped with every security feature found in BlackBerry Android phones. BB is said to have already secured a deal with Indian manufacturer Optiemus, company that BB has a long-standing relationship with. India is said to be an area of particular interest to BlackBerry as, according to Alex Thurber, BB executive, Indian customers are more and more interested in privacy and security, features that BlackBerry Secure will presumably provide.
