Skype under attack by hackers!

The above picture, published by Downdetector website, shows the scale of the problem. The whole thing began yesterday, which I can confirm as a Skype user myself. Ever since yesterday, Microsoft’s popular communicator has had massive issues with connectivity – video calls would not be allowed, chat messages would not go through etc. Earlier today, Microsoft said that the issue has been resolved, but according to many Skype users online it is still prevalent, though significantly less so. Rumour is that the problem is caused by an attack by a hacker group known as CyberTeam, who have took responsibility for the issue and stated that they will attack digital distribution platform Seam (hopefully not! I want to play some Vermintide after work today). Their method of attack was to generate a massive information overload on the communicator’s web infrastructure, causing it to collapse under the weight of data.
