Google works on a job hunting function

Google has many functions. First and foremost, it is the most popular search engine in the world (though citizens of China could probably argue with that statement). Google Maps will show you where you are and how to get to where you want to be. Gmail is one of the most popular, and largest, e-mailboxes on the market. Google + … well, it tried to be the next Facebook and failed to, hard. My point is, Google is many things, almost all of them useful.

Lets hope that its future function, that of a job-hunting application, will be a useful one.

Job searching engine is said to be an upcoming Google feature. Unfortunately, we know very little about it. It is said to be available in both tabletop and mobile versions (naturally). Search engine will divide the job offers either by the positions or by their dates of publishment. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, said that the programmers working on the feature are cooperating with, among others, Linkedln and Facebook.

No dates regarding the project are known so far. As for opinions, well… judging by the very, very little we know, Google’s job-hunting feature will not be any different from websites like Robert Half or Job.com. If anything, it may be poorer than those mentioned sites. On the other hand, we know next to nothing about Google’s ideas for the function, so who knows? It may as well turn out awesome.
