The minimum price for applications in Google Play has been modified for 17 countries, after a successful pilot in India earlier this year.
To make the price more affordable, Google decided to reduce the earlier lowest price, from 0.99 dollar to 0.45 which means that the price has dropped roughly for countries like Poland, Brazil, Chile, Colombia or Hungary.
The company also mentions about the price changes of apps, if the company wants to change from paid applications to free, this change will be permament.
When the changes will be applied, the application can not be changed back to a paid app.
If the company wants again charge a fee for their services and change app pricing, they will need to create a new application with a new package name and set a price for the new application.
