Following the hints dropped by CEO Tim Cook and AT&T earlier today, Apple has announced that it sold over 3 million new iPads during the three days of its launch weekend starting Friday, March 16. The new iPad went on sale in a dozen countries and territories on March 16, and Apple is poised to launch it in 24 more this coming Friday, March 23. Without a doubt, this is Apple’s best tablet launch ever, and is with little doubt the biggest launch of any tablet produced by any company.
