Verizon Wireless recently added the LG Extravert to its lineup of prepaid cell phones. The Extravert is a sideways slider with full QWERTY keyboard for messaging and a 2.8-inch WQVGA touch screen (400 x 240 pixels). It runs on LG’s feature phone touch OS and is limited to 1X data. The Extravert claims to be green, with 30% of the battery cover coming from recycled materials, and no cadmium, lead, or mercury in the battery. The box it ships in is made from 76% recycled materials, and the in-box materials is made from 60% recycled materials. The Extravert features a 2-megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth 3.0+EDR, 3.5mm headset jack, support for microSD cards up to 32GB, media player, and social networking software. The Extravert is available from Verizon’s prepaid web store for $109.99.
