Seems you can get cancer from using wireless headphones

At least that is what a group of 250 scientists from around the world wants you to believe. According to them, those headphones have a negative side effect: radiowaves that they use to communicate with the smartphone have a relatively large chance of creating cancer cells in the user’s brain. Their example of such ”cancer-creating” headphones are Airpods by Apple. International Agency for Research on Cancer agrees with this hypothesis but that is just it; for now it is only a hypothesis. We will let you know if it is actually proven to be ...

Samsung Galaxy A60 battery might have smaller battery than expected

Turns out that the specs sheet from some time ago was not completely correct: Galaxy A60 will not have a battery capacity of 4500mAh. Its real capacity is an okay but significantly less impressive 3500mAh; the proof is in a leaked picture above. Smaller than expected size might have been caused by phone’s large (6.7′) display. Other rumours about Galaxy A60 include a 32mpx triple camera setup, 6/8GB RAM, 128GB storage memory and Snapdragon 675 CPU. Tweet Vote on HN ...

City officials of Portland, Oregon consider blocking the 5G rollout due to possible health risks

Next Wednesday the officials of Portland will take a vote on whether or not to oppose rollout of 5G network in the city. The anti-5G sentiments in the city government are quite strong, as the anti-5G movement is headed by Mayor Ted Wheeler himself along with the Commissioners Chloe Eudaly and Amanda Fritz. Their motivation, at least officially, is a chance of 5G network causing yet to be discovered health issues. Less official reasons are suspected to be connected with both financial costs of the enterprise as well as 5G infrastructure being a so-called ”land grab” against other ...

Honor 10i, pictures and specs

Until now we have heard pretty much zilch regarding Huawei’s Honor 10i smartphone; therefore it is very nice that the first leak regarding that device is also so large. The arguably most important part of the leak are the pictures, all four four being live pics. I must admit that the rear case of the device looks quite nice. Other than the pictures, Hi-Tech has also shared the phone’s specs:– 6.21′ display, tear-shaped notch,– HiSilicon Kirin 710 CPU, 8 cores,– ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU,– 4 GB RAM, 128 GB space,– 24mpx x 8mpx x 2mpx main ...

U.S. warns Germany to not take Huawei’s help in building its 5G network

Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. may withhold sharing intelligence with Germany if the latter country continues to co-operate with Huawei. U.S. Ambassador to Germany, one Richard A. Grenell, wrote a letter to German economic minister. This letter, according to the Wall Street Journal,”…marks the first known time the U.S. has explicitly warned an ally that refusing to ostracise Huawei could lessen security cooperation with Washington. Among other things, European security agencies have relied heavily on U.S. intelligence in the fight against terrorism.U.S. officials declined ...

Some of Motorola Razr specs leaked out

This device’s specs are not as impressive as those of Samsung Galaxy Fold or Huawei Mate X, but that may be a good thing: those two foldables will be very expensive, and Razr’s hypothetical low-ish price (perhaps only 1500 dollars) will make it a realistic alternative to them. As for the specs themselves, this is what the rumour says Razr will pack:– 6,2′ main display, 8762142,– 800600 secondary display,– Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 CPU, 2,2 GHz, 8 cores,– Adreno 616 GPU,– 4/6 GB RAM, 64/128 GB storage,– somewhat small 2730 mAh ...
