RIM to give developers BlackBerry 10 prototypes at upcoming event
RIM has announced that it plans to provide developers that attend an upcoming event with BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha devices. Microsoft, Nokia to put $24 million into app development for Windows Phone
Nokia and Microsoft have announced that each company will invest 9 million EUR (US$12 million) into a mobile application development program at Aalto University in Finland over the next three years. The new AppCampus program will focus on creating mobile apps for the Windows Phone ecosystem, but it will also produce apps for Nokia’s S40 and Symbian-based phones. Students enrolled will be coached on commercialization of their ideas, and they will retain all of the intellectual property rights for the apps that they develop within AppCampus. Samsung today announced that it will be distributing a large “Premium Suite” system update to the Galaxy Note during the second quarter that includes Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and other new features.
