Samsung today announced that it will provide a select number of its Galaxy-branded smartphones and tablets with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Samsung said the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note will receive Android 4.0 during the first quarter of 2012. Documents seen on the Federal Communications Commission web site provide details about an unannounced feature phone from Samsung. The U380 is a sideways slider with full QWERTY keyboard bound for Verizon Wireless, based on images of the device and spectrum support. The FCC confirms that the U380 supports CDMA EVDO in the 850/1900MHz bands, as well as Bluetooth.
