iPhone X renders. This is what Apple’s flagship might look like

Rendering exhibits both a ”normal” 5-8′ and larger 6.4′ versions of iPhone X. We have had no official news on the larger phone being made, but it is a sound hypothesis, seeing how Apple loves to release Plus versions of many of its devices. Other than that, the renders do not tell us anything special. Both phones will have essentially the same design, with identical front and back panels. As a reminder, iPhone X will be released on November 3rd; it can be pre-ordered starting a week earlier, October ...

iOS 11.0.2 released for iPhone and iPad

Hello, iPhone bug fixed and performance improvements! Apple has recently released a second update to its newest OS, iOS 11. To download it, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Remember to charge up your device’s battery, as download and installation can easily eat 50% of your charge.Hopefully this one will fix more issues than it ...

Splitgate or oy wey, iPhone is do0med!!1!

Perhaps this scandal is not as groundbreaking as Watergate, but it is in top five, no question about it. One Mrs. Wu from Thailand has recently uploaded a tweet with the picture of her iPhone 8 Plus (64GB) in it. Picture depicts her phone with a nasty split so wide that the front panel nearly fell off from the device. This was reportedly caused by the phone’s battery expanding as a result of its temperature drastically increasing over a period of time – in other words, battery got so hot that it got large and push the phone apart.Device is said to have been send to Apple, which ...

How do you think iPhone X is pronounced?

You will probably answer ”Ex, right?”. Ehh, dilettante… What do you think, that you can just walk around calling iPhones whatever you like? Pshaw. Business Insider conducted a small research to figure how out do people actually call Apple’s newest smartphone. It turned out that, while the majority of ”rank and file” citizens indeed do call that phone ”Ex”, everyone who knows more about the business calls it ”Ten”. This includes shop managers and repairers as well as ”common” people that follow Apple news more closely. ...

Skype and iPhones 8 & 8 Plus do not play nice together

Apple may be the leading company in the mobile device industry, but it does not mean that they do not have their share of technical hiccups. Yesterday I wrote about how some iPhone 8 and 8 Plus users complain about a nasty static interrupting their calls when using headsets. Today I have a mispleasure (okay, maybe a bit of spiteful pleasure) of informing you about yet another technical issue with Apple’s newest smartphones. Both devices have been reported to crash the very moment that Skype turns on. Do not worry, though; Apple has already stated they know about the issue and is ...

Some iPhone 8 Plus users report some kind of ”annoying static noise” during calls

According to MacRumors, a number of iPhone Plus owners have some trouble with their phones, or at least their headsets. They say that, when using headsets during the call, they can hear a loud-pitched, annoying static sound coming from the headset’s earpiece. This issue did not occur when using headphones or phone’s own speaker. It is said it does not matter whether you are using 4G voice or WiFi calling, if you have noice cancelling enabled or if you are using a VoIP app. Performing a hard reset is said to sometimes help, but not always. Apple support team advises those with ...

How to restart iPhone 8 & 8 Plus

iPhones do not crash often, but even Apple products are not safe from fails of modern technology (insert anti-fans’ moan). Older iPhones’ way of restarting was to press’n’hold Hold and Home buttons until an Apple logo pops on-screen. Instruction on how to do that is a bit different in iPhones 8 and 8 Plus, though:– press and release Volume Up,– press and release Volume Down,– press and hold Hold/Sleep/Power until the Apple logo appears on-screen.If my simple and clean instruction is still somehow unclear to you, watch this ...

Revolution!/meh, or what do the people think about iOS 11

iOS 11 has been out for a new days now and the Internet is full with it. You can read about it on Forbes, on MacRumors, Gizmodo, 9to5Mac… everywhere. Sim-unlock.net too, naturally. While it is all well and good to know what the more-or-less professionalists think about the OS, but I think one should also know the ”little man’s” opinion. That is why I scoured the web in search of people’s comments about the iOS 11 and gathered them into a small compendium for you to enjoy:– few people treat iOS 11 as a revolution. Most users consider it an evolution ...

Leaked specs of HTC Master, Harmony and Lite

There is never enough HTC phones! We have already heard about HTC U Ultra, U Play and U 11, as I covered these devices often enough. What I wrote little about are the other three phones that HTC wants to deliver by the end of 2017 – Master, Harmony and Lite. Thankfully, some of these three devices’ specs have just leaked, so that I can tell you a bit more about them ”yeah, they exist”.– 6′ display for Harmony and Master, 5.2′ for Lite,– 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM in all three devices, 6GB/128GB option for Master,– 12mpx rear & 8mpx front ...

iPhone repair prices have gone up, or how Apple wants to bleed us even more, oh joy

No one ever plans on breaking their smartphone, especially if it is an iPhone. Life is random, though, and accidents do happen. Well, they better stop happening now! Screen repair prices have just took a sharp rise in the US, UK and Australia, going up by roughly $20 on every model starting from iPhone 6S and up to and including iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Important part, though, is that price rise does not include iPhones covered by AppleCare+, which is an extended warranty that covers more cases of accidental damage. Of course, AppleCare+ is not cheap itself, costing additional $99 (much more ...
