See that thing next to it? That is a credit card. That is right, KY-O1L is pretty much as little as your credit card. That is quite small. Device’s size is 91mm x 55mm x 5.3mm, and it weights 47 gram. Sounds good, right? Well, if you want to buy it, you will have to be ready to make a few sacrifices. KY-O1L lacks any kind of camera, sports a 2.8′ display and will cost $284.39 – quite a bit, considering how little it offers. On the plus side, its microscopic 380mAh battery will still easily outlast big boy pants’ smartphones and it does have LTE functionality and web ...

Global rollout of that device has begun last month, and although it took a while, it has finally reached North America. Just a little more patience. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Lenovo K9 and Lenovo A5 are now out in India
Lenovo seemingly tries to push Xiaomi off its ”king of the budget smartphones in India” pedestal. The company has just released two new budget phones, K9 and A5, as pretty much a direct competition to Xiaomi Redmi 6 and 6A. Lenovo K9 offers a bit better specs than Redmi 6, but for the price of being slightly, well, pricier, while Lenovo A5 has slightly worse CPU than 6A but instead sports a fingerprint scanner that Redmi does not. Both phones have 18:9 display. Lenovo K9 costs ₹8,999 while Lenovo A5 costs either ₹5,999 or ₹6,999, depending on the memory ...

Oh, right, another grand theft data. This time it was Pentagon that got robbed
This type of thing should really move us more, but I am afraid that we have recently been oversaturated with groundbreaking news of various leaks, e-robberies and other Internet mischief. Now we are simply jaded and largely indifferent to most of them. Anyway, back to the point: two days ago the press has been informed that personal data of 30 thousand of Pentagon employees have been stolen. The leak has been caused by, reportedly, negligence of one of Pentagon’s subcontractors in setting up proper protection for the network it was using. We do not know which subcontractor is that. ...

Samsung Galaxy S9 Android Pie beta program will launch in the US soon
As first reported by XDA, Samsung has recently updated the EULA and FAQ pages for its US beta firmware program. This can be understood as the company’s preparation for launching a 9 Pie beta for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones. There is no info on the data of program’s launch; if last year’s Galaxy S8 & S8+ example is to be followed, the beta will launch sometime around November. Those of you who own Galaxy S9 or S9+ can sign up for the program through the Samsung Plus app. Decide quickly, though, as only the first ten thousand volunteers will be admitted ...
Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds have been downloaded over 100 million times from the Play Store
Now that is a kind of a milestone many games can only wish they could reach. If anyone ever doubted PUBG’s popularity, do so no more, as the game has been downloaded from Play Store over a hundred million times. Oh, by the way: Play Store does not count downloads made from China, and since PUBG is very popular there as well, the real number is certainly much higher. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J7 Prime got their October security patch in India
The update begun its rollout earlier today.
