The long awaited app is finally coming to Europe.

Threads as the service is called works similar to X – a user can post, repost, share with friends, send a DM, and, most importantly, combine a set of posts into a thread.

Threads caught on quickly, profiting off the chaos at Twitter and its rebranding to X by its new owner and CEO Elon Musk, and the link with Instagram accounts also helped immensely.

Threads remain closely tied to Instagram, and you cannot post threads without an Instagram account.

Both apps are heavily integrated with one another – a thread can effortlessly be shared as a story, a direct message, or even a post on Instagram. Going the other way around – from Instagram to Threads, is not as intuitive as we would’ve wanted, but it is possible.
