Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) is the successor to the J5 Prime from October 2016. According to the phone’s recent FCC listing, it will not be a large upgrade; Android 7.1.1 from Android 6.0.1, 8mpx camera from a 5mpx one, a smaller but more efficient screen from a 5′ one. Rest of the specifications will remain more or less the same; 13mpx main camera, Exynos 7570 8-core CPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.
There is no word on when will Samsung officially reveal the phone. We are not even 100% sure it will be called J5 Prime (2017). Guess we will see.
