According to the newest report by Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities , iPhone 8 will come out as soon as in September, but phone’s available numbers will be limited at first. Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will ramp up iPhone 8 production in the third quarter of the year.
Ming-Chi Kuo’s report brings us more information than that, though. First, it tells us that iPhone 8’s will all support quick charging with both an adapter and a Lightning-to-USB-C cable. Second, we learn that the phone will be available in Silver, Black and Gold colour variants. A separate leak on Techtastic.com has also brought us perhaps the tastiest part of this post, namely leaked live pictures of iPhone 8. Check the website if you want to see them all – otherwise, I uploaded one of the pictures to this post. Pictures leaked show us a vertical dual camera setup, bezel-less display and a complete lack of fingerprint scanner, which seems to give credibility to an earlier rumour that Apple forgoes Touch ID in favour of Face ID.
I would expect more iPhone 8 news to pop up soon. Until then, tah tah.
Edit: a short video presenting what may or may not be a prototype of iPhone 8 just leaked online. Read more about it here.
