In cyckle “Curiosities from World:”
Florida resident Thomas S. Ross sued Apple this week, claiming that design of iPhone, iPad and iPod was stolen from his invention from 1992 of Electronic Reading Device (ERD).
Mr. Ross have however bad luck because his application for patent was declared abandoned in 1995 after he failed to pay the fees. He also failed to copyright technical drawings of his inventions in the Copyright Office in 2014.
Despite the fact that this theft couse “great and irreparable injury that cannot fully be compensated or measured in money” he has demanded restitution no less than $10 bilion (yes, bilion) and a royalty of up to 1.5% on Apple’s worldwide sales of infringing devices.
That’s what I call “American Style.”
