The series witnessed a robust start with substantial pre-orders, and this momentum has carried forward into the initial phase of open sales.
Samsung has revised its shipment target for the first quarter of 2024 to 13 million units, up from the initial projection of 12 million.
On a global scale, the sales of the Galaxy S24 series have shown an 8% increase compared to the S23 models during the same timeframe (from January 28 to February 17).
Driven by strong pre-orders, particularly in Western Europe (including the UK, Germany, and France), sales of S24 phones have surged by 28%.
In South Korea, the flagship trio saw a 22% rise in sales, while in the US, the numbers climbed by 14%.
Regarding the distribution of sales among the individual models within the S24 lineup, there is a more balanced trend this year.
In 2023, the Galaxy S23 Ultra constituted 60% of total sales, with the S23 and S23+ each representing approximately 20%.
According to data from Counterpoint, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comprised 52% of total sales.
Interestingly, the compact Galaxy S24 gained popularity, accounting for 27% of sales.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24+, despite being anticipated as a significant upgrade, saw a modest share of 21%.
