Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with Oryon CPU is coming really soon

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 System-on-Chip (SoC) in October of the previous year during the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii.
Now, we’ve got information that this year’s Snapdragon Summit, scheduled for October, will witness the introduction of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

This insight was shared by Qualcomm’s Chief Marketing Officer, Don McGuire, during a video posted on X from the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC).
McGuire mentioned that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will feature the Oryon CPU. The brief two-minute video is available for viewing below.

Prior to the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, Qualcomm is anticipated to unveil another chip from the Snapdragon 8 Gen series.
This upcoming chip, with the model designation SM8635, is rumored to feature a Cortex-X4 core clocked at 2.9GHz, while the graphics-intensive tasks will be managed by the Adreno 735 GPU.

According to speculation, this chip will be fabricated using TSMC’s 4nm node and is expected to achieve an AnTuTu score of approximately 1.7 million.
Positioned between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Gen 3, it is likely to be named either the Snapdragon 8s Gen 2 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Lite.
