The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, or how someone is making a Middle-Earth stealth game with Gollum as the main character

In the past we have often played as Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf and many other of Tolkien’s characters, even some of the evil ones – why not take the role of the scurrying was-hobbit?

”Gollum” is made by Daedalic Entertainment, a German studio known mainly for the point’n’click adventure games. Little is known about the project for now. There will be stealth and platforming; judging by the screenshots, the game will take place in Mordor as well as other, more pleasant locales. One of the screenshots suggests that the player will be sometimes given choice on how to progress throughout the game. Speaking of looks, I do not like Gollum’s graphics: the game looks too much like a Disney cartoon, especially character models.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released next year. It will be available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
