Foxconn did not receive permission to restart Apple smartphones production just yet

Threat of coronavirus turned out to be even stronger than the call of capitalism. Foxconn has planned to restart production of iPhones starting next Monday, but alas, it will not be so. Chinese health inspectors have informed the company that its working conditions would be a breeding ground for coronavirus infections and therefore banned the company from returning to production. Foxconn’s employees have been told to not come to work for now.

We do not know whether this compulsory holiday is paid or not. Lets hope that it is.

Shenzen and Zhengzhou iPhone factories will soon be inspected once more; it is in the interest of many to see them reopened ASAP. As for Apple, the company will not reopen its Chinese stores until at least February 15.
