Device is officially known by its codename, Latona, only, but people wiser than me believe that this is Huawei’s new smartwatch. When compared to its predecessor, last year’s Watch GT, this one seems to sport a wider display with thinner edges, but otherwise their looks are very similiar. Rumour is that Watch GT 2 will sport built-in loudspeaker and microphone and a battery bigger than its predecessor. Watch GT 2’s premiere may or may not take place during this year’s IFA (starting tomorrow).
Since Watch GT 2 is a Huawei device, it is likely that it will not be operated by Android OS. Instead it is likely to sport Huawei’s own OS, Harmony or HongMeng or whatever it is called this week.
