Slashleaks has just posted a photo of the Infinity-O display that will cover the front of the upcoming Galaxy A8s smartphone. It shows a display with very thin frames as well as hole in the upper left corner of the screen, most probably for the front camera. This is the same display that will be built into the upcoming Galaxy S10. According to Slashleaks it has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Other known specs include 6GB of RAM and Snapdragon 710 SoC. Elon Musk will live on Mars
At least that is what he wishes to do. American website news Axios has had an interview with the genius millionaire inventor and occasional douchebag Elon Musk. In this interview, Elon Musk has let out that he hopes it will be possible for him to move to the Red Planet sometime in the future. The man believes that there is a ”70% chance” that that will be possible. People in the know-how believe this to be a pipe dream; radiation on Mars makes it impossible to live there given our current technology. In the future, though? We shall see.Today NASA’s InSight probe will ...
EE might be the only UK carrier to carry foldable Samsung device
According to Gizmodo, Ee will be the only British carrier that will have Samsung’s upcoming foldable device in its offer. EE is supposed to offer the device both on contract and SIM-free. Its price will range between 1500 and 2000 pounds, the exact cost depending on chosen RAM variant. In case you are not an EE customer, do not worry, for Samsung will most probably sell the Galaxy F unlocked directly from its own store. Buy it there, put the other carrier’s SIM card inside and voila, done. Now the only question is whether or not anyone will actually want to cough up their own ...
Verizon offers Moto G6 for free
Now that is a Black Friday deal I can get behind. Moto G6 was already a very affordable device, reaching prices as low as $179.99. This was already extremely cheap for such a device and no one imagined that Black Friday deals could somehow made it cheaper. They have not. They made it free instead.Yep. You can now get the Moto G6 smartphone for free. All you need to do is sign up for a device payment plan with a new line of service. While this would normally cost you $10 a month for the next 24 months, if you order the device from now until Sunday, your payments will be returned to your ...
Apple will restart the production of iPhone X
iPhone XS, XS Max and XR are not selling very well. What can Apple do? Sell more of the older, more successful models! Encouraged by the good sales figures of iPhone X last year, Apple has decided to renew the production of that device, presumably at the expense of its newer smartphones. What is more, Apple also wants to lower the price of iPhone XR in Japan. Will this plan work? Will people flock to buy an year old model if there are newer, if more pricey, ones available? We shall ...
LG patents names for its future foldable smartphones
Rumour that LG is going to show off a foldable device of its own during the CES 2019 have been around for over a month now. Newest leak from the European Union Intellectual Property Office suggests that this may be true, as LG has just patented three names for its future devices: Foldi, Flex and Duplex. All three names suggest a foldable device. Category 9 class given to them means that they will be smartphones.Three patents do not neccessarily mean that we will get three new LG devices, mind you. Bah, we might not even get a single one, foldable or not. Perhaps LG just wants to call dibs ...
Siri used to show a picture of a dick whenever asked about Donald Trump
The story begun yesterday and although it was quickly ”fixed”, it will not be forgotten soon. If you asked Siri about Donald Trump – perhaps the president came up in a conversation, or you wanted to make sure you are up to date on the president of the US – you would get a Wikipedia-based article with a rather interesting version of Trump’s picture. As it is doubtful that Apple would select a dick pic to be the face of the article about Donald Trump, the most obvious answer is Wikipedia: someone edited up Trump’s wiki article and the newly put picture was ...
Cameras of some of the US released Samsung Galaxy Note 9 are freezing at random
Both unlocked and carrier-locked models of US-released Samsung Galaxy Note 9 are having an odd camera issue. When trying to take a picture or a video with phone’s rear camera, the camera freezes. Third-party apps that use phone’s camera can also glitch out and not work properly. The issue is widespread enough to gather 58 pages on Samsung’s official forums. Samsung is working hard to push out an update that fixes this problem. Tweet Vote on HN ...
Odin, or how Motorola is making a new flagship worthy of a deity
According to an insider source of XDA Developers, Motorola is working on a new flagship smartphone. This device’s codename is Odin. XDA’s source knows quit a bit about the device’s specs: they are supposed to consist of the Snapdragon 8150 CPU, 4GB RAM and 32GB flash memory (not much for a supposed flagship), in-display fingerprint scanner and Android 9 Pie operating system. It will, naturally, support Moto Mods, though it is unsure whether or not it will support older mods or only the new ones like the Moto 5G mod. The smartphone is made with the US market in mind; it is ...
