What the eff is going on, or how Samsung phones sent pictures to your contacts on their own

A new, fresh Samsung issue is on the horizon, and it is an amusing one. It seems that Samsung phones are now capable of sending random pictures from our galleries to randomly chosen people on our contact lists. Thankfully, the issue does not pertain to ALL Samsung smartphones, but ”only” to the Galaxy series, mostly the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 8.

Nothing is known for certain at the moment, but a popular culprit to be blamed is USA’s T-Mobile division. American provider is in the process of changing its message standard from SMS to RTC, which has been said to ”confuse” the device into picking random photos to send to random people. T-Mobile division in question denies these accusations and points to Samsung as the culprit.

It may be a good idea to deny your Messages app access to your gallery until this thing blows over.
