Rumours about a paid Facebook have been afloat at least ever since the memorable Mark Zuckerberg hearing before the US Congress. As it turns out, there is at least some truth to them; according to Bloomberg, Facebook is discretely gathering data on whether or not would a subscribed Facebook be a success. This has a double goal: first, to allow FB to make more money and second, to see whether or not are people willing to pay for removing ads. It has been reported that a relatively large number of Facebook users leave the website due to the growing amount of ads (something that I personally have not noticed). Does this mean that FB will really include a subscription mode for their website? Will we, the users, decide to pay for something that was available for free? Let us know.
