According to The Investor, increased security steps that Samsung now takes in its production and implementation of smartphone batteries is the main reason why the company is looking to hire new battery experts. Why are they looking in the West and not South Korea is anyone’s guess – perhaps the demand is so high, they have to fish abroad? Another reason is, allegedly, Samsung working hard on a next-gen, solid-state battery technology.

If you are interested in working for the mobile giant, you have some learnin’ to do first. Candidates for the job have to have either master’s or doctorate’s degree, as well as a vast knowledge of cell development and battery materials. Think you have what it takes? Applicate away.
