Samsung Galaxy A8 Active found on Geekbench, newest OS and CPU confirmed

Galaxy A7 Active was released in mid-June 2017, same as A6 in 2016. It looks like the new A8 Active will not continue this tradition, though, as there is still no word on an official reveal, let alone release, of the phone. At least we do know that the device is being worked on, thanks to it making an appearance on Geekbench earlier today.

Geekbench reveals usually are not bountiful with specs leaks, and this time is the same. All we have learned from it is that A8 Active will be running Android 7.0 Nougat and be powered by a Snapdragon 835 CPU; it will also have 4 gigabytes of RAM. Other specs are rumoured to be more or less same as Galaxy S8’s, possibly with a bigger battery. Of course, Active series’ point is to be resistant. A8 does this in part by straightening Galaxy’s usual curves, going for a more blocky (curves are easy to damage) look.

Sim-unlock.net will be sure to tell you more when the information becomes available. For now, tah tah!
