Ladies and gentleman, it is now official – more people are using their smartphones than PCs for web browsing. I know that the title of the news is ”Android over Windows”, not ”smartphones over PCs”, but that means pretty much the same thing. Ever since mid-2015, the trend has risen in which more people were browsing the Internet on their mobile devices than on their computers. Since Android is the most popular operating system for smartphones and many other mobiles, it means that more and more often Android was the OS used to browse the net, not Windows. O tempora o mores, right? Windows is still the more popular OS (though not by much) in well developed countries, like U.S. and most of Europe. Developing countries, like Africa and Middle East and such (and Poland…) see much more usage of Android than of Windows, probably because many people there cannot afford a personal computer, but pretty much everyone everywhere has a phone nowadays.
