Verizon has been hitting the US Note 7 phones hard. Recently the provider has released an update which made it impossible to charge the phone. Despite this (how?), ”thousands” of dangerous Note 7’s are reportedly still at large. Next update will be even more severe, as it will block any outgoing calls from the US Note 7 phones – the only numbers that will still be available will be 911 and Verizon’s customer service.
