Next year will be the tenth anniversary for Apple – ten years have passed since the company released its first iPhone. Round number anniversary is a good moment to release a truly beasty new model. Lets hope that iPhone 8 will be such model. First of all, the name we are using for Apple’s upcoming device, iPhone 8, is a speculation. We do not know what will the phone be called like, and, considering the occasion, we can expect a much “cooler” name than iPhone 8. Perhaps Anniversary? We have heard that iPhone 8 will return to the double sided glass design with a metal ...

Google faces a gigantic fine
There has been a leak of a document from an European Commission regarding its penal proceedings against Google. According to the Commission, Google abuses its leading position in a mobile device market, for which it may be forced to pay enormously large fines. The case is that, reportedly, Google has been repeatedly bribing mobile device producers in exchange for them applicating Google’s software in their devices instead of that of other companies. Neither the exact amount of fine, nor the Commission’s decision on whether or not Google is innocent, is unknown. The amount of ...
iPhone Down, part II: Weekend Assault
Do you remember times when your phone was your best friend? You could call other people with it, or message them; you could use it to surf the web – remember that funny cats movie you watched on bus a while ago? Ah, these were the times… unfortunately, these are the days gone past, and now we live in a brutal world of the future, where danger lurks at every corner. HTC Ocean – no buttons
HTC Ocean is a working name for a phone that HTC is working on. The phone is to have two main selling points – a very thin frame and, attention, a complete lack of physical buttons. The former would allow Ocean model to be more compact without compromising the screen’s size; the latter… well, right now it is difficult to foreshadow the pros and cons of having no physical buttons on one’s mobile device. On the one hand, lack of physical buttons could make even more space for the phone’s screen, but on the other hand, what if (or, rather, when) the phone crashes? ...
