There is never enough burning phones – this time it is, again, Samsung Galaxy Note 7

There is never enough burning phones - this time it is, again, Samsung Galaxy Note 7

The accident took place in Louisville, USA. Brian Greene got onboard the plane flying to Baltimore, turned his phone off and put it into his pocket. Soon after, the phone begun emitting smoke, which was when Greene threw it on the floor, where it burnt a hole in the lining. Passenger were forced to take the next plane.

According to Mr. Greene, he bought his phone on September 21, after the defective phones were removed from the market. He also states that the phone was 80% charged with a wireless charger. Samsung refrains from making any comments until the case is properly investigated.

As of now it is hard to say whether we are dealing with the continued case of grenade-class Samsung or if this is just a singulary case. Either way, it will -not- help Samsung’s image.
