Rumor is that the upcoming Samsung model, Galaxy S8, will have a 4k resolution implemented in it. According to the rumor, the 3840 × 2160 resolution is to increase the comfort of VR (Virtual Reality) users. Galaxy S8 will not be the first phone with this high-tech resolution – Sony has beaten Samsung to a punch an year ago with its Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. In Sony’s phone, though, the 4K resolution was reserved for movies and pictures, with the rest of the apps being presented in fullHD. Samsung Galaxy S8 is to work in 4K at all times, which naturally brings up the question of how long will its battery last for.
Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly be available in two versions with different screen size (one of them is supposed to be 5.5′ large, both are to be curved). We can expect their release in February 2017. Are you awaiting it impatiently, or not at all? I wonder if the VR technology will become popular among smartphones.
