The Nokia E52 is one of the smallest and slimmest smartphones around at the moment. Like the E55 it’s just under 10mm thick, and while it’s ever so slightly wider than its sibling you’d need to get out the ruler to tell. It’s available in either grey or gold and both manage to look sharp and stylish without coming across as overly showy. Despite the thinness of the phone, it feels remarkably sturdy as it doesn’t twist and flex like some of the cheaper smartphones around.
The E52 is quad-band, so you’ll be able to use it in most countries around the world. It also offers speedy web browsing and downloading, as it supports both HSDPA and Wi-Fi. As well as this, there’s now also on-board GPS. This works well with the preloaded navigator application. Alternatively, you can download Google Maps for the phone and use the GPS functionality with that. Either way, we found the phone took mere seconds to lock onto enough satellites to pinpoint our location, even from a cold start.
