Sony has announced that it plans to launch the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades for the Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V, and Xperia ray in the middle of April. The roll-out will be gradual and is expected to take four to six weeks to complete. Sony says the upgrade will require users to use their PC or Mac to install it, and it will not be made available over-the-air. Sony has made a beta version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich available for the Xperia Play smartphone. Sony cautions that the beta software is not a final build of Android 4.0, and those who download and install it may encounter bugs.
