Samsung today announced that it will provide a select number of its Galaxy-branded smartphones and tablets with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Samsung said the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note will receive Android 4.0 during the first quarter of 2012. Other devices expected to be upgraded include the Galaxy S II LTE, Note, R, Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9, Tab 7.7, and Tab 7.0 Plus. Samsung will provide more specifics for each device closer to when the upgrade is ready.
