Sprint is running some specials of its own for the Black Friday shopping frenzy, as it has announced that the Google Nexus S 4G and the Samsung Conquer 4G will be free with a new two-year contract during the weekend after Thanksgiving. Last week, Samsung released an update to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 that brought along Android 3.2 Honeycomb to the slate. Unfortunately, it also broke a few important functions, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and others on a number of users’ tablets. Samsung Illusion Materializes on Verizon
Verizon Wireless today announced the Samsung Illusion, a new Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone that is partially made from recycled materials. Samsung says the Illusion’s battery cover uses 70% recycled materials, the front casing uses 35% recycled materials, the packaging is made from bleach-free paper and vegetable-based inks, and the box is made of 60% recycled paper.
