RIM recently provided details about two unannounced BlackBerry smartphones to developers via its web site. RIM didn’t release full details about the two devices, but provided a peek at their specs. Shared details include NFC (near-field communication) support and RIM’s BlackBerry 7 OS.
* Bold 9790: This monoblock smartphone includes a 2.4-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with video capture, 8GB of storage, and a 1.2GHz processor.
* Curve 9380: This phone appears to primarily be a touch device, and includes a 3.2-inch display with 320 x 480 pixels. It also has a 5-megapixel camera with video capture, and is powered by an 800MHz processor.
RIM did not specify what cellular technologies these devices support (GSM, CDMA), nor their pricing or when they are expected to go on sale.
