Samsung SM-G9600 leaked on Geekbench. Snapdragon 840 and more

The name of phone’s CPU may make you believe otherwise, but this device will not be a flagship. According to what we know, Snapdragon 840 is ”just” a slightly upgraded version of Snapdragon 820 – quad-core, running at 1.77GHz. Judging by both this and what little else we know of the rest of the phone’s specification (4GB RAM, Android 7.1.2 OS), some believe that SM-G9600 is either Galaxy S8 Lite or Galaxy S8 Mini. New Motorola phone leaked out of GFXBench

Phone’s code name is XT1789. It’s full specification is available on the added picture. Most interesting parts of the spec are probably Android 7.1.1 OS, 8-core Snapdragon 630 and 12mpx rear, 16mpx front cameras. XT1789’s specification is awfully similiar to that of Moto X4. Could be X4’s prototype, or perhaps a lower-end variant designed for developing markets?Device’s price and date of release are unknown. Tweet Vote on HN ...

KFC smartphones. Yep

I suppose I should come up with a witty joke about how fast-food chicken wings and mobile devices do not mix well. Sadly, I cannot, so here is some dry info on the subject. Huawei has released a variant of Y7 smartphone with a different spec:– 5′ display, 720p,– Snapdragon 425 chipset,– 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM,– 13mpx rear camera,– Android OS,– image of Colonel Sanders on the back of the phone.Five thousand units of the device will be China-exclusive. Phone’s price is ¥1,099, which translates into roughly $161. Phone’s special gimmick is ...

LeakerLocker or oy vey, nasty ransomware attacks Android aps

McAffe, company known mostly for its antivirus software, warns about a new virus making rounds on the Google Play Store. The virus’s name is LeakerLocker and it is another of the lately ”popular” ransomware. If you are unlucky enough to get infected, LeakerLocker will block your phone and give you an ultimatum – either you pay a hefty ransom or the virus will send your browser history and other personal data to everyone on your contact list. Brr… Damn, LeakerLocker! Just reading this made me immediately go and clear my own browser. As I mentioned above, ...

Leaked mockup render of LG V30

The biggest news (if we take this render seriously -@OnLeaks is usually quite correct with its renders) is that LG has got rid of V30’s secondary display. This may come as a surprise, largely because V30’s secondary display was supposed to be its gimmick, the thing that would set it apart from the competition. What else does the render show us?– single earpiece speaker at the top front of the device,– 3.5mm headphone port at the top right,– volume buttons on the left side,– rear-placed fingerprint scanner integrated with the Power button,– also ...

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might be revealed in late August

Reportedly, an unnamed Samsung executive confirmed that Galaxy Note 8, Samsung’s upcoming flagship, will be revealed by the end of August. Some papers, like The Bell, believe that Note 8 will be revealed on August 23rd; others, like The Investor, think the device will be shown to public on August 26th. Note 8’s reveal will come earlier than expected (September was the first supposed date) mostly because Samsung wants to beat Apple to the punch by releasing their flagship before iPhone 8 comes out.Lets hope that Samsung’s rush will not do what it may have done to Galaxy ...

Are you in panic? Relax, Android is here to help…

Often we find ourselves in a situation when we want to leave a website or application at once.
