iOS 10 iTunes’ backups may have a much lesser degree of protection than iOS9 has.
According to experts, iOS10 is serviced by SHA256, an old version of cryptographic hash functions devised to make it more difficult for the third-party programming to guess the user’s password. iOS9 is using SHA-1, which is a much better defence against possible hacker attacks.
