Most of the time we heard that Orea will be the next Android’s name. Wrong! According to this leak, Android O will in fact be called Oatmeal Cookie. There are at least two bits of evidence for that. First is a phrase ”oc-dev” that repeats through the phone’s system code multiple times; second is a picture taken from the Google I/O presentation, where a phrase ”R.drawable.oatmeal_cookie” appears in one of the code lines.

I must admit that this is some legitimate proof. Unless it was an elaborate prank that Android played on us all, it can be said with an almost complete certainty that Oatmeal Cookie is the next Android OS’ name.
