Yes, it's possible but not yet. After Samsung Galaxy Note 7 success irist scanners become next must in for flagships but they;re not cheap toys.
And here Dongwoon Anatech Co. Ltd. comes into play - they want to merge chips responsible for making fotos with front camera and those responsible for scanning iris. And this means less costs - about 70% less.
And for us this means iris scanners in more models - also middle-end ones. And maybe - just maybe - as far as next year.
