Google is working on improving their current Google payment methond with new features.
The new Wallet app is an update to the current Google Pay app. It will be introduced in all countries where Google Pay is available.
The changes to the app include: Digital IDs and car keys, digital office and hotel keys. It would also come with a name change that doesn’t change the name of the payment service itself. The change is to the name of the app, which is now Google Wallet.
This is a long awaited change that many will find usefull.
