Recent rumors have reported that Apple has ordered from Samsung about 100 million OLED panels. According to president and principal analyst UBI Research - Lee Choong-hoon, Samsung is expected to provide for the iPhone, whose premiere is to be held in 2018, up 60% OLED panels. Another 20 to 30% will be supplied by LG and the others are likely to come from Japan Display and Foxconn. The new OLED panels will be more accurate in terms of color, but above all they have to stand high levels of energy efficiency. In addition, Apple is going to introduce a new iPhone curved OLED displays, similar to those of the Galaxy S7. According to Lee Choong-hoon, 30% of iPhones produced in 2018 is to have curved displays. In 2020, this number is likely to increase to 80%.
