Oh dear, oh my, Earth's magnetic field is shifting

American scientists have discovered that there are rapid changes in the magnetic field of our planet. Reportedly, it is moving much faster than usually, going from 15 to 55 kilometers per hour in only twenty years. These changes influence devices based on a magnetic compass, like planes or smartphones - for example your compass app might not be working correctly if you are close to one of our planet's poles. At least the changes do not influence GPS apps such as Google Maps.

If it scares you, all I can say is that we, humans, have nothing to do with these changes. They are probably caused by the shifts in the molten part of the planet's core. All we can do is wait it out and/or adapt.
