Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3 and Alcatel 1 - something for everyone

Alcatel has made an appearance on last week's CES 2018, where it talked about its three upcoming smartphone series - namely Alcatel 5, 3 and 1. We will have to wait until MWC 2018 to learn more about them, but we already know enough to get a glimpse of what will those devices be. Here is what we know.

Alcatel 5 will be this year's Alcatel flagship, although the price tag of 300 bucks suggests it will not be able to compete with the likes of iPhone X and Galaxy Note series. Its specification will include 2:1 aspect ratio, facial recognition and a large battery.

Alcatel 3 is the mid-ranger of the series. For a price tag of 200 dollars we will be getting a specification similiar to, though certainly lesser than, that of Alcatel 5.

Alcatel 1 is the small brother of the new Alcatel family, a budget phone. Costing 100 dollars, it will nevertheless offer a ”premium-quality craftsmanship, 2:1 aspect ratio and functionality similiar to that of flagship phones”. Sounds good.

We will learn more about these phones at the MWC 2018, on February 26th.
