We have great news for all T-Mobile customers.
The company is currently working on upgrading 500 of its retail stores to support in-store repairs performed by its certified Assurant experts. Assurant is the company that makes all repairs for T-Mobile.
The company has stated that on November 1, customers with the Protection 360 plan can use the T-Mobile Store Locator to find a location that offers in-store repairs.
An online appointment tool should be available soon as well and the repairs are performed by certified technicians.
There are however some things that we should know before we ask T-Mobile for their services.
Repairs will depend on the parts the store may have on hand. T-Mobile mentions that in the event where parts are not available, an Assurant-authorized repair center may offer a replacement device and collect the appropriate deductible depending on your protection plan tier.
New information doesn’t stop there however: T-Mobile is also changing the amount of times a customer can make device claims through T-Mobile from three per year up to five.
If you are interested in their offer of protection they have two plans right now.
First one is device Protection that includes online claims, protection against mechanical, accidental, and water damage, loss and theft and up to six-months of additional warranty on the replacement device.
Second one called Protection 360 includes full Apple Care Service, JUMP! Upgrades (which let you trade in a device after 50% of it is paid off, McAfee Security, ID Theft protection, and Unlimited screen protector replacements.
