We probably have broken another temperature record on Earth

New record is 54,4 degrees C. It was registered in the infamous Death Valley in North California, USA. It beats the latest record from Mitribah, Kuwait, by 0,4 degree.

According to the US National Weather Service, this new record is not yet official. It has to be verified first. Mistakes in temperature measurements happen; a measurement that recorded 56,7 degrees Celcius in Death Valley back in 1913 was one of them.

According to the University of Stanford, it is humanity that is responsible for the worldwide increase in temperatures. Seeing how world’s governments (ehm ehm, USA, ehm ehm) do relatively little to combat the climate change, we can expect new temperature records soon.
